Du’a for Reaching Ramadan<\/b><\/h2>\n

As the blessed month of Ramadan comes closer, Muslims hope and pray to witness it in good health and strong faith. A well-known phrase often heard is:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Allahumma ballighna Ramadan” (O Allah, let us reach Ramadan).<\/span><\/p>\n

While this statement expresses a heartfelt request, it is not authentically traced back to the Prophet \ufdfa. However, a du’a from the Companions (Sahabah) asks Allah to allow them to experience Ramadan safely and benefit from its blessings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Allahumma sallimni ila Ramadan wa sallim li Ramadan wa tasallamhu minni mutaqabbala<\/span><\/p>\n

Meaning: O Allah! Preserve me until Ramadan, safeguard Ramadan for me, and accept it from me (receive my deeds with acceptance).<\/span><\/p>\n

This du’a asks Allah for three important things:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. To grant us life until Ramadan, so we do not miss the chance to worship.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. To protect our Ramadan, allowing us to make the most of its rewards.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. To accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds, as only what Allah accepts will bring benefit in the Hereafter.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Best Duas for Ramadan<\/b><\/h2>\n

    Ramadan is a month of mercy, forgiveness, and immense blessings. Muslims are encouraged to increase their supplications and remembrance of Allah.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The Prophet \ufdfa emphasized the importance of making dua, as it is a powerful means of drawing closer to Allah and seeking His guidance, protection, and blessings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Daily Dua for Ramadan<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Dua after Seeing the Crescent Moon<\/span><\/h4>\n

    Oh Allah, bring it over us with blessing and faith, and security and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n


    \n<\/span>Meaning:<\/b> O Allah, let the crescent loom above us in peace and faith, safety and Islam, and in agreement with all that You love and pleases You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.<\/span>

    Dua to Start Fasting<\/b><\/h3>\n

    There is no authentic dua before starting the fast mentioned in the hadith.<\/span><\/p>\n

    However, one should make an intention in the heart to fast. The best time to make dua is during the last third of the night, as this is when duas are most likely to be accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n

    “In the Name of Allah.”<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

    The first ten days of Ramadan, known as the first Ashra, are a time of great mercy from Allah.     The last ten nights of Ramadan are the most significant, as they include Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, which is better than a thousand months. These nights are an opportunity to seek forgiveness, mercy, and protection from Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u201cO Allah, You are the Most Forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

    Allahumma innaka \u2018afuwwun, tuhibb al-\u2018afwa, fa\u2019fu \u2018anni<\/span><\/p>\n

    This dua was taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and is highly recommended to be recited repeatedly throughout the last ten nights of Ramadan.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Dua for Protection from Sins Before Ramadan Ends<\/b><\/h3>\n

    \u201cI seek the protection of the Majesty of Your Honorable Face against the month of Ramadan ending or the dawn breaking while I still have an offense or a sin for which I am liable and for which You will punish me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
