Success is a term that draws people towards challenges and empowers them to achieve their dreams, and Abdullah’s success story is one of those inspiring tales that embody the power of will and determination. Abdullah, a young Syrian living in displacement camps in northwest Syria, works in a mobile phone repair shop. He decided to return to his studies to achieve his dream of studying engineering, reflecting perseverance and optimism in facing difficulties.
The beginning of success
Abdullah’s journey began under extremely difficult circumstances, having been out of education for a long time due to the tough conditions he faced early in his life. However, he never surrendered to these circumstances. He moved into the mobile phone repair industry, where he excelled and became an expert. Despite his success in this profession, he always felt that he could never be fully content with it.
Abdullah’s Challenges
Abdullah says, “Regarding my job in mobile phones, it was for my future after I dropped out of education. I had no other trade to learn and I excelled in this field. But my mind was never at ease with this profession. I love studying a lot.”
But there were significant challenges ahead of him. He worked long hours at the shop, had family responsibilities, and found it difficult to find time for studying. He faced criticism from some people who told him that achieving his dream was impossible, but these challenges only served as a motivation for him.
Abdullah adds, “People say it’s very hard. My job at the shop is between 8 and 9 hours, and I have children and responsibilities. Where are you going to study, where will you put the book, and where will you set your mind?”
Despite these difficulties and challenges, Abdullah began his journey towards achieving his dream. He studied diligently on his path to engineering. As a result of his dedication and persistence, he succeeded in the general secondary education with a score of 226 in the scientific branch.
His parents praised his effort and dedication. His father said, “Every prostration, I pray for Abdullah. This moment is enough; all the year’s fatigue went away when he succeeded. The happiness of my family is the most important thing, and their prayers are invaluable.”
For Abdullah, what matters more than anything else is seeing his family happy and proud of him. Thus, Abdullah emphasizes the importance of achieving our dreams and not giving up in the face of difficulties.
In conclusion, Abdullah’s success story reflects the strength of will and persistence, and a reminder that with determination, one can achieve the impossible. Abdullah serves as an example to young people facing difficulties in accessing their education and realizing their ambitions for a better life, encouraging them to pursue their dreams with strength and perseverance.
