Masarat Initiative
Masarat Initiative was founded based on our firm belief that knowledge is the key to success in life for individuals and to the prosperity of societies and that learning is a lifelong, ongoing process.
Masarat was launched as a voluntary
educational non-profit initiative with the aim of making knowledge accessible to learners anywhere (with a focus on war-zone areas).
We, in Masarat, are fully aware of the importance of providing equal learning opportunities and of the
major influence education imposes in advancing the creativity of individuals in a way that enables them to build a better future for themselves and the societies they are part of.

MISSION
Providing a high-quality educational experience for learners at all levels and to all members of the society, starting from primary school all the way
through to continuous career development. With Masarat, we work hard to provide the learners with essential tools, materials and high-end technology to support their learning experience and ensure they have access to knowledge regardless of their geographical location. We aim to increase the learners’ level of knowledge, skills and professionalism to the highest so they can contribute toward re-building the community.
GOALS
▪Provide education at all levels (Primary and Secondary) online and free of charge for Syrian students.
▪Provide free academic advising (and scholarship whenever possible) for High School students who
graduated from Masarat.
▪Provide professional training for free, mainly
in the career fields that allow for remote work.
▪Provide extracurricular activities for students to discover their hidden talents and fully realize their skills and actual capabilities.
OUR TEAM
Our team consists of academics, consultants and educators with wide experience and passion in teaching and pedagogy. We have
as well a large team of professionals and experts from all over the Arab world works on creating and improving the quality of educational content, in addition to a voluntary team of Engineers, Technologists, Instructors, Journalists, Admins, and Coordinators in Syria and abroad who work collectively to run this initiative of e-learning.
SETTING US APART
From the initiation of Masarat, we were determined to provide the learners with innovative learning experience and features that are new in the region. What distinguishes us from others:
▪Receiving an accreditation from Microsoft as an academic institution. With this recognition, we were able to create Office 365 accounts for all our students and staff members allowing them to access a wide variety of applications available
in the package that improve their online learning experience.
▪Using top virtual learning environment and work on providing learners with free access to our online platform to reach out to the maximum number of
students around the world.
▪Apart from our online platforms, what distinguish Masarat is having a physical presence on the ground in the areas where students are most of our located to facilitate the direct contact between the students and their educators.
▪Providing supervision and continuous mentoring for school students. Moreover, we provide academic advising, professional training, and student activities in order to motivate students and empower them to have a positive impact on their community.
▪Having a dedicated team specialized in (educational technology) that works on designing, creating, and continuously improving the educational content
using the latest technology and tools available for e-learning.
▪Working on forming strategic collaborations and cooperation with different local, regional and/or international organizations and sectors that share
similar goals and values.
