In Syria… did you know that thousands of orphans are deprived of their basic right to education? They suffer from poverty and homelessness without paternal care. These young children bear heavy burdens at an early age. Through our project, we aim to reach 500 orphaned students in Syria and provide them with free education. We offer an opportunity for a better future for these children in the face of their difficult circumstances.
The Challenges Faced by Orphans in Syria
In Syria, 196,000 orphans live in harsh conditions, with the majority residing in camps. These children are forced to leave school and resort to child labor. Instead of holding pens and notebooks, they carry shovels and iron, struggling to earn a living amidst the biting cold that gnaws at their young bodies. They lack not only education but also the care of loving and appreciative families, jeopardizing their future prospects.
How Can We Solve the Problem of Orphans in Syria?
Providing free education to orphaned children through various programs enables them to acquire comprehensive knowledge, from school education to vocational training that equips them with skills needed for the remote job market. We offer them interactive online education to reach as many children as possible, regardless of their location. Our approach not only focuses on education but also equips them with the support and skills they need to thrive independently, through four programs: school education, student activities, academic advising, and vocational training.
The Long-Term Positive Impact of Educating Orphans in Syria
By educating orphans, we empower them to achieve their goals and become independent, knowledgeable individuals equipped with the skills needed to take care of themselves and their families. We reintegrate them into the educational system and provide vocational training to equip them with essential skills for entering the job market. This enables them to earn a decent income and improve the quality of their lives without relying on external assistance.
