Islam Al-Daghaim, a Syrian girl, stands out for her perseverance and determination to achieve her dreams. She shone in her studies after joining Masarat Initiative and achieved a high score in her high school certificate, fulfilling her childhood dream of entering medical school.
Fulfilling the Dream: Islam’s Inspiring Journey
The beginning of Islam’s high school phase was not easy at all, as she couldn’t attend school. Her hope lay in her dream, which motivated her to search for an educational opportunity that would help her achieve what she wanted. That opportunity came unexpectedly when she managed to join Masarat Initiative, through which she obtained the proper education she had dreamt of. With her immense efforts and determination to achieve her dream, Islam ultimately succeeded in obtaining a high score in the high school certificate, realizing her childhood dream of becoming a skilled doctor.
Online Learning Bears Fruit
Islam’s mother expressed her pride and happiness at her daughter’s success, stating, “When she saw her daughter’s excellent result and high GPA, she felt immense joy and pride in her great achievement. She was relieved that her daughter utilized the initiative’s platforms for studying throughout the academic year and prepared for the baccalaureate exam”.
She further added, “Islam was highly committed to her studies with Masarat Initiative. Despite not being able to attend school due to difficult family circumstances, she managed to succeed deservedly thanks to her determination and diligence”. As for Islam, she told us about the moment she saw her result, saying, “She heard loud voices from her family members talking with great enthusiasm. She quickly went to the place where they were gathered, and found them all excited and gathered around the phone, informing her that she scored 231/240. At that moment, Islam felt overwhelming joy and couldn’t help but cry tears of happiness, along with her mother. It was one of the happiest moments she ever experienced, making her feel immense pride for herself and her family”.
Masarat: The First Step to Achieving Dreams
Islam proved that dreams can be achieved through determination and perseverance, thanks to the online education provided by the Masarat Initiative. Whith this in mind, the initiative aims to provide free services to all Syrian students, especially those in need and most affected, such as orphans, people with disabilities, earthquake victims, and those in camps. These services include online education, student activities, and academic guidance to empower students to achieve their dreams and develop their skills.
