Ibrahim Al-Alooun, a Syrian refugee, was determined to pursue his dream of education despite the harsh circumstances he faced at a young age. He was displaced from his village and found himself in the harsh living conditions of the northern Syrian camps. All of this affected his education, but he never lost hope in continuing his studies.
A Glimmer of Hope Amidst the Refugee Tent
Ibrahim faced numerous difficulties in his life. He was injured due to the war and forced to live in a makeshift tent lacking essential amenities. However, he never lost hope in pursuing his education. He continued to search for a way to build a brighter future for himself and secure a dignified life for his family. Eventually, he found an amazing opportunity to continue his dream. He joined Masarat Initiative and benefited from the free services it provides, despite the surrounding hardships.
Triumphing Challenges with Determination & Overcoming Adversity
The path to knowledge was not easy for Ibrahim. He encountered several problems, such as the lack of electricity in his tent, making it difficult for him to study regularly in the evenings. Nevertheless, he did not give up. He found alternatives for lighting to fulfill his aspirations and achieve his dream of securing a decent life for his family, who depend on him and trust him. His mother, Um Ali, speaks fondly of her son, saying that despite the challenges Ibrahim faces in the displacement environment and weak tents, including adverse weather conditions, he perseveres with dedication and diligence to pursue his education. She always wishes for him to achieve his dreams and aspirations, to provide support for her and his father in their old age.
Masarat: Fulfilling Refugee Generations’ Dreams in the Camps
Ibrahim overcame obstacles and achieved success in high school, thanks to the assistance of Masarat Initiative, which saved his future and the future of thousands of children in remote camps. It provided them with online education from within their tents and places of displacement, offering educational and psychological guidance to sharpen their skills and build a bright future for them.
